Absence from blog

Sorry I've been away from the blog for several weeks. My father passed away the week after Christmas, and I haven't been feeling up to anything. I'm starting to get going again, though. I have a couple of black and white custom prints to finish, and then I'll start taking new pictures again. Something new should be up in a week or so.

Portrait: Linda in Corvallis, Oregon

Three of my favorite shots from a recent portrait job. Linda wanted an environmental portrait over a candlelight dinner. I wanted to light her only by candlelight (I've never done a portrait with only candlelight before). It was a challenge but a lot of fun! I think it came out quite lovely. I did some split-tone black and white conversions, too, just for fun.
